Indigenous knowledge and the Tay people’s abundant source of rice gene in Da Bac district, Hoa Binh province

Abstract

The authors, in the area of tribal botany, conducted research on the abundance of rice varieties, types of cultivation and ways of using local rice varieties of the Tay people in Da Bac district, Hoa Binh province. The result shows that the local rice gene is present in abundance and is still preserved by people. The article also presents some recommendations to preserve this precious source of gene.
