The issue of ethnic minorities in our country in the vision to the year 2020

Abstract

The article talks about basic principles, successes and experiences in the implementation of ethnic policy in Vietnam in the 1990s. The author suggests that it is necessary to access thoroughly those principles in the current circumstance to help ethnic minorities to receive fair political and economic rights in the industrialization from now to 2020. These include poverty reduction, society management, and urbanization welfare. This is also a sustainable strategy for development in ethnic minority areas.
