Social behaviors of food habits among Tay ethnic group

Abstract

The Tay are living in the valleys of the East-North in Vietnam and their livelihoods are mainly west rice cultivation. They have closed relationship with some ethnic such as the Viet, Nung and some others from the South of China. The author descried social behaviors in food habits of the Tay in family, community and ceremony contexts through the ways of easting, sharing foods or food taboos...
