Tóm tắt
Southeast Asian countries are the multi-ethnic states. In each country, they constitute the single minority group. In aspect of individuals, there are no discrimination between the ethnic Chinese and the indigenous inhabitants. Under the constitutions of Southeast Asian countries, all citizens have fundamental rights such as the right to equal protection of the laws, freedom of religion, freedom of speech and so on. However, in aspect of community, it appears a big gap of rich-poor, a disparity of qualification between indigenous inhabitants, other minorities groups (among them are the ethnic Chinese). The ethnic Chinese occupied a small proportion of the whole population in the region whereas they play an important role in economic activities, especially in the fields of financial, real state, commercial service, export and import. The bigger gap of rich - poor and the social contradiction between the various ethnic groups, especially between the ethnic Chinese and the indigenous inhabitants also occur. This situation has lead to the conflict between the ethnic Chinese and indigenous inhabitants.
