This is about the development of a map by the Museum of Ethnology in Vietnam of the distribution of ethnic minorities in South East Asia by language

Abstract

The author mentions the classification and definition of 5 groups of languages in South East Asia. These are Austro-Asiatic, Thai-Kadai, Malayo-Polinedia, Han-Tang and Hmong –Dao. Through this classification we can see the multi-faced relations in general and particularly in languages among the ethnic minorities in this region.
