Socio-economic development issues and ethnic relations in the Mekong river delta.

Abstract

The article mentions shortage of cultivated land , poor infrastructure of education and health of Kho-me people in the Mekong river delta. This is the cause of poverty in this region about 30 %. Besides, the situation was more complicated due to influences from domestic and foreign reactionary forces. The article also suggests some recommendations including how to solve problems of land conflicts, strengthening  agricultural extension, education and health promotion in combination with defense and security, socio-economic development at border area.
