The Hmong and religious phenomena relating to their reaction in Southeast Asia: past and present.
Abstract
Over the past century, the reaction of the Hmong in Southeast Asian countries has been expressed through religious phenomena with the appearance of the Saviors such as Quan Am, Chao Pha or Vang Chu. The cause of this reaction is because they have not been satisfied with their present life and have an aspiration for an independent sovereignty and for a better life. Through studies, it is noticed that over the past time, there have been certain impacts by world religions such as Protestantism and Catholicism on the Hmong people.
