Dairy Farming Activities in Household Economic Development in Moc Bac Commune, Duy Tien Town, Ha Nam Province

Abstract

Developing dairy farming is a significant policy of our Party and State today,
aiming to transform traditional farming methods and scales into large-scale farming in the
direction of commodity production and market linkage, thereby creating a breakthrough in
economic efficiency, promoting the process of agricultural and rural transformation towards
sustainability. Based on fieldwork in Hoan Duong village, Moc Bac commune, Duy Tien
town, Ha Nam province in June 2024, the article explores the role of dairy farming activities
in household economy in the following aspects: changing awareness and thinking in farming,
expanding employment opportunities and increasing income, improving living standards and
contributing to poverty reduction. On that basis, the article clarifies some raised issues and
proposes some recommendations to develop the dairy farming model and to improve the
household economy in Moc Bac commune in the current context.
