Uncontrolled Vietnamese Laborers in Laos: Relationship of Investment Sources and Human Resource

Abstract

In the background of international integration and increase of economic investment of Vietnam in Laos, the movement of human resource from Vietnam to Laos has grown in both quantity and quality. Especially, it is the increase of number of uncontrolled laborers at age of 18 to 30 years old working for the projects of Vietnam in Laos or participating in services, especially 3D service. They migrated illegally to Laos to work because of many reasons including the development of coorperation and increase of commercial investment of Vietnam to Laos. However, the uncontrolled Vietnamese laborers in Laos have faced many challenges and risks, which require the governments and related agencies of both countries to have solutions for ensuring their legitimate interests and responsibilities.
