Các hoạt động phi nông nghiệp ở thôn Pò Cại: Thực trạng và những tác động
Tóm tắt
The writing focuses on the practical situation of development of non-agricultural activities and its effects on the social and cultural life of the Tay people in Po Cai village under the process of economic integration. To adapt to a new context while still having ensured the life, the Tay people in this village have diversified increasingly their economic activities: beside the maintenance of their traditional economic activities, namely the farming and livestock raising, they have taken part more and more in non-agricultural activities such as doing hired jobs and small businesses. The increasing participation in non-agricultural activities has had its double-faced effects on their social and cultural life. Specifically, although their income and living standard have increased and cultural exchange and integration have been strengthened, the cohesion inside families and community has reduced, social evils have grown and ethnic cultural identity has being faded out. Being involved into the spiral of integration process, the Tay people in Po Cai village seem to be quite sensitive in taking advantage of opportunities to diversify their livelihoods but they have not equipped themselves or have been equipped with necessary skills to response to the requirements and the seamy side of economic market.
