The Folk Disease Treatments of the Tay People in Po Cai Village, Gia Cat Commune, Cao Loc District, Lang Son Province

Abstract

The article introduces briefly the behaviour towards diseases of the Tay people in Po Cai village under the current conditions. It indicates clearly that the folk disease treatments of the Tay people in this village has been existing together with the modern medicine and the combination of Oriental and Western medicines in the behaviour towards diseases of the Tay people is a main tendency. Especially, owing to the Tay people have had early opportunities to contact with Western medicine so that at present, they have adopted a lot of advances of the Western medicine as well as have excluded the disease treatments by the unreasonable worship and diets.
