Impacts of Climate Change on the Husbandry of Some Ethnic Minorities in Nam Chay Commune, Muong Khuong District, Lao Cai Province

Abstract

The article indicates clearly that the climate change is a hot issue affecting all aspects of human being. In the animal raising, the climate change has its effect on the food and living environment, resistance to diseases, increase of disease hazards, etc., for livestocks. This effect has caused great damage for farmers. People in the study sites have had their responses to the impact of climate change on the raising such as the strengthening of breeding facilities, increasing food, injecting for epidemic disease prevention, seeking non-agricultural jobs, etc. However, these responses mainly are spontaneous and petty ones and lack the strategic and synchronous solutions. Therefore, a more effective intervention of related committees and branches is needed.
