Cultivation Activities of the Thai People Resettled in Chieng Bang Commune, Quynh Nhai District, Son La Province
Abstract
Based on the finding of field study in Chieng Bang commune, this writing brings to light the change of cultivation of the resettled Thai people. It indicates that the biggest difficulties of the Thai people in their resettlement sites are that their cultivation land area is narrowed remarkably leading to the strong reduction of food yield in comparison with that in the past, many experiences are unable to apply to production due to change of natural condition, environment and soil and appearance of contradictions in land. However, owing to the Vietnamese state’s policies, the resettled Thai people quickly have stabled their life and have applied many technological advances to production in order to increase productivity of crops.
