The formation of the urban space and social development in Vietnam’s mountainous areas

Abstract

The composition consists of initial remarks on urban development and socio-economic development in the mountainous areas of Vietnam, from the experience of a study tour starting from the Eastern South of Vietnam, via the Truong Son range in Tay Nguyen, the central to the Western North and Viet Bac, the Northern Plains, and finally back to Ho Chi Minh city by the author himself. Through these initial remarks, the author also gives some predictions about the social development in the mountainous areas in Vietnam in the future.
