Demography and Population of the Central Highland in the Process of Industrialization and Modernization
Abstract
According to the author, for the last three decades, the population in the Central Highland has been heterogeneous in terms of ethnicity and social backgrounds or classes; population grows rapidly due to a high birth rate of the native residents and the influxes of immigrants. This has contributed to the socio-economic development of the region but also set some problems that need to be solved. The author suggests that to accordingly measure population growth and to improve the qualification of human resource are the most important tasks of all authorities, from local to regional levels.
