Muong and Dao people in Xuan An commune have the custom to use traditional medicine to treat the common and chronic diseases. However, the healers are practicing medicine without the management of the medical branch. Furthermore, many folk remedies are being lost because they have been not written and disseminated. The herbs are being rare with the strongly exploitation, but they are not preserved. Some solutions are given to deal with these problems such as establishing the traditional medicine organisation, encouraging the activities to preserve the folk remedy and medicinal plant.
