Blessing ceremony of Tay people in Bac Kan province

Abstract

The blessing ceremony of Tay people is organised annually in spring. In the ceremony, people pray to the Deity for good health and abundant crops. This ceremony is not only religious meaning but also ethnic culture meaning. The stories and moral admonishes being performed in the ceremony process. This ceremony was lost in oblivion; however, it is restored together with economic development in Tay community in Bac Kan province recently.
