The article discusses the funeral ceremonies of the Gia rai who live in Truong Son – Tay Nguyen areas in Vietnam. There are two kinds of funeral ceremonies.  One is for those who die in accidents, from snake bites and child birth etc. The second kind of ceremony is for those who die due to illness and disease. The funeral ceremony for the former is simple and quick.  The ceremony for the second group is more complicated. These ceremonies are indicative of the differences between ethnic minorities.
