Needs and reproductive health concerns of young ethnic adolescents

Abstract

The article was based on quantitative and qualitative research results of adolescents (10-19 years old) belonging to Tay, Dao, San Chay (Cao Lan-San Chi ) at Lang Son and Quang Ninh provinces. 6 main findings have been discovered through research relating to needs and concerns of adolescents’ reproductive health, emphasizing on needs of information and knowledge on signs of puberty age, sexual relation concerns and conception. However, they have poor knowledge of contraceptives and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).
