Mission of revolutionary journalism and Vietnam's aspiration towards 2045

Abstract

By analyzing the glorious tradition of the 100-year journey of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism (1925 - 2025), the article affirms that revolutionary journalism is an ideological weapon and a political battlefield in the struggle for national liberation, national defense, and national construction. Entering the digital age and international integration, the press faces many challenges and takes on a great mission, which is: orienting ideology, refuting false information, promoting innovation, monitoring power, and nurturing the desire for power. Thereby, the article proposes several recommendations to strongly innovate the organizational model, modernize content, develop digital human resources, and maintain traditional values so that the press continues to be a steadfast “ideological flag” in the journey to make Vietnam a developed country by 2045.
