Abstract

The study employs a k-ω SST CFD model to analyze the influence of the blade rake angle (θ) on the performance of a B-Series propeller. Results indicate that increasing the rake angle signifcantly enhances the thrust coeffcient (KT) and torque coeffcient (KQ) under high load conditions, but its impact on open water effciency (η0) is negligible. The research provides a quantifed database to support designers in optimizing thrust reserve and controlling adverse flow phenomena such as cavitation.
