Abstract
Industrial robots are increasingly widely used in modern manufacturing, but high costs are still a barrier for small and medium-sized enterprises. This study focuses on designing an economical six-degree-of-freedom robot, in which the main link of the robot arm is optimized. The finite element method (FEM) on Abaqus software is used to analyze stress, displacement and deformation under static load, thereby identifying dangerous areas and evaluating the strength and stiffness of the structure. The multi-objective optimization results show that the mass is significantly reduced while still ensuring mechanical requirements, confirming the effectiveness of FEM and Abaqus in designing and improving industrial robots.
