EVALUATING FACTORS INFLUENCING THE USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TOOLS IN HIGHER EDUCATION
Abstract
The study evaluated the use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Copilot in higher education using the UTAUT2 model. The results from a university in the Mekong Delta demonstrate that factors such as Hedo ic Motivation, Habit, and Personal Innovativeness substantially impact students' intention to use AI. In contrast, performance expectancy and social influence do not have a significant impact. Habit and Behavioral Intention are the strongest predictors of students' actual AI usage behaviour. The study provides insights into the factors that drive AI use in higher education and can be used to develop more effective AI integration strategies. However, further research is needed to gain a more comprehensive understanding of this issue.
