CURRENT PRACTICES IN TURMERIC-BASED PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CIRCULAR SUPPLY CHAIN APPLICATION: A CASE STUDY IN CHI MINH COMMUNE, KHOAI CHAU DISTRICT, HUNG YEN PROVINCE
Abstract
Turmeric is a valuable medicinal plant with many healthy benefits should be favored and processed into a variety of products. In Chi Minh Commune, Khoai Chau District, Hung Yen Province, turmeric is the key local product with high economic value, contributing to the livelihoods of the local population. The article analyzes the current status of turmeric production and trade in Chi Minh commune, thereby identifying the conditions and necessity for developing a circular supply chain model. The application of circular supply chains in turmeric production and trading not only solves environmental pollution problems, but also contributes to creating positive ecological and social transformations towards the goal of developing a circular economy in the agricultural sector.
