RESEARCH ON THE RELIABILITY AND RESERVE CAPACITY OF THE POWER SYSTEM AFTER PLANNING AND EXPANDING THE ELECTRICITY GRID
Abstract
The integration of renewable energy into the power system is an inevitable trend to reduce dependence on fossil fuels, decrease greenhouse gas emissions, and enhance energy security. However, this process faces many challenges due to the instability of renewable energy sources. Additionally, the quality of the power grid is a critical issue, as integrating a large amount of renewable energy can lead to imbalances and overload the grid. Therefore, evaluating the power system after planning and expanding the grid is an important task in the overall power system planning. In this study, the branch and bound methods are proposed to assess the reliability and reserve capacity after grid expansion planning. The results of this research aim to demonstrate its effectiveness and propose optimal solutions for evaluating the power system after planning and expansion. This study will be validated on the actual power grid of Hau Giang province.
