Abstract

In the context of a world that is increasingly transitioning to a digitized model, the collection, processing and management of data is becoming more important than ever. This research will focus on the research and development of an IoT Gateway device capable of collecting data from multiple PLCs to the Internet using industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA, S7 Protocol... and based on the Node-RED platform to build a remote data management and monitoring interface. Research Methods: Using Raspberry Pi to create IoT Gateway Module to collect and process data from sensors via S7-1200 PLC and send to Node-RED via OPC UA, S7 Protocol. Results: Successfully designed an IoT Gateway suite capable of connecting to PLC via OPC UA protocol, S7 Protocol and monitoring data directly or via the Internet. After testing, the IoT Gateway set achieved an error when monitoring mass of about 0.12% compared to the actual volume and an error when monitoring temperature of about 0.3% compared to the actual temperature.
