Implementing teaching project topic: “safaco” for developing problem solving competence for learners

Abstract

Project teaching is an active teaching method that many educators are interested in, researching and implementing. Project teaching method has a positive impact on the formation and development of learners' competence. This study presents the process of designing and implementing the project: "Safaco" to develop problem-solving competence for students. Theoretical research methods were used in understanding the theoretical basis of project teaching methods. Experimental methods are used in guiding students to design and implement the "Safaco" project. Products from the project have reached consumers, a number of farmer in Can Tho and Hau Giang provinces, and received many positive feedback. At the same time, the "Safaco" project participated and won Second Prize at the "Students with startup ideas" competition in 2020 organized by the Ministry of Education and Training. In general, after implementing the project, students' problem-solving competence has made remarkable progress.
