Students’ perceptions towards Tay Do University librarians
Abstract
This research is aimed at identifying factors that influence students’ perceptions of Tay Do University librarians. The data for this study was collected through a questionnaire from 353 students who used the library service. The proposed research model is expressed through four factors with 24 variables of observation: Librarians’ nature of work, librarians’ image, librarians’ skills, and librarians’ attitude. Descriptive statistics analysis, Cronbach’s Alpha test, exploratory factor analysis, and linear regression analysis were used in this study. The results show that the students’ perceptions of Tay Do University librarians were positively influenced by three important factors, following in order as Librarians’ attitude, Librarians’ image, and Librarians’ skills. Based on the research results, the authors propose some management implications to help the university improve students’ perceptions towards Tay Do University librarians, thereby improving service quality and increasing the satisfaction of students at Tay Do University.
