Synthesis and purity determination of carvedilol related compound D
Abstract
Carvedilol related compound D (4-(oxiran-2-ylmethoxy)-9H-carbazole) was synthesized from 4-hydroxycarbazole and epichlorohydrine in a yield of 80.25 %. The product was purified by column chromatography and its structure was determined by UV-Vis, IR, MS, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, HSQC and HMBC. The chromatographic purity of product was determined to be 99.85 % by HPLC-PDA. The obtained carvedilol related compound D met the requirements for establishment reference material.
