Abstract

Niosomes loaded with rutine and aloe gel extracts were prepared by thin-film hydration method, continuously sonicating to lessen the vesicles size. Morphological characterization of the obtained niosomes was performed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), infrared spectroscopy (IR), diferencial scanning calorimetry (DSC). Bisides, the skin deposition was studied ex-vivo. By the SEM images, the obtained niosomes showed spherical with the diameter of 150 nm. The hydrogen bonds between rutin and cholesterol was proved by IR spectroscopy. Span 60. DSC studies showed molecular dispersion of rutine in the niosomal vesicles. The drug deposition into the skin of the gels containing niosomes loaded with rutine and aloe gel extracts was by 6 folds higher than the conventional gels of the kind.
