Abstract

The objective of the article was to estimate the factors affecting the choice of payment method of customers at convenience stores in An Giang. Through primary data collected directly from 317 customers buying goods at convenience stores in An Giang province. The article used Logit regression method to estimate the influence of factors on customer's choice of payment method. The estimated results showed that both models have high statistical significance. Model (2) had one factor with a negative coefficient at the 5% significance level as the age of the customer and four factors with a positive coefficient at the 1%, 5% and 10% significance level, respectively, as education, the residence, collection and occupation of the client. Model (3) had a factor with a positive coefficient was the customer's occupation and a factor with a negative coefficient was the marital status that affects the customer's choice of payment method. On the basis of the found results, the article proposed some solutions to help the non-cash payment at convenience stores in An Giang Province develop day by day.
