The impact of the fourth industrial revolution on the agricultural supply chain system in the Mekong Delta

Abstract

The fourth industrial revolution has significantly impacted many fields, industries and sectors, creating opportunities and challenges for economic and social development both domestically and globally. This research aimed to assess the impact of Industry 4.0 on the agricultural supply chain system in the Mekong Delta region. Moreover, the study identified the difficulties and advantages of the agricultural supply chain in the Mekong Delta region. The research used a qualitative method by synthesizing data from both domestically and internationally and reports from relevant agencies. The study proposed some solutions to enhance the efficiency of the agricultural supply chain system in the region, such as building infrastructure, strengthening supply chain management and monitoring systems, applying information technology in management, enhancing cooperation between stakeholders, and improving education and training.
