Law enforcement on environmental protection in tourism business activities in Can Tho City: Current situation and solutions

Abstract

In recent years, the tourism industry in Can Tho City has experienced significant growth. From 2016 to 2022, the total revenue from tourism reached 16.1 trillion VND, accounting for approximately 8% of the city's GRDP. However, this development has also had a strong and concerning impact on the environment. One major issue is the inadequate enforcement of environmental laws in the tourism sector, as well as limited coordination between different parties. This article aims to thoroughly examine and analyze the theoretical and practical aspects of law enforcement for environmental protection in Can Tho City's tourism industry. This research serves as a solid foundation for improving environmental protection in the tourism sector. Based on this, we proposed several solutions to strengthen and enhance the effectiveness of environmental law enforcement in Can Tho City's tourism industry.
