Developing high-tech industry of Can Tho City as the center of the Mekong Delta region according to Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW of the Politburo

Abstract

In the past five years, Can Tho City, as the center of the Mekong Delta region, has made significant progress in implementing Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW of the Politburo. This has included a focus on developing high-tech industries, resulting in positive outcomes for both the city and the region. This is an important first step towards establishing central high-tech industries in the area. However, this progress has also been met with various challenges and obstacles, such as securing resources and investing in both physical and technological infrastructure. Additionally, there is a need to carefully select appropriate high-tech industries with a long-term vision for 2045. These may include food processing, energy, pharmaceuticals, electronic equipment, and various mechanical fields such as automobiles, agricultural machinery, industrial equipment, electrical equipment, medical equipment, information technology, telecommunications, and popularizing digital technology, automation, high-end equipment, new materials, and biotechnology.
