Economic and urban development solutions for 3 regions of Tien Giang Province
Abstract
Implementing Resolution 10-NQ/TU dated April 5, 2017 on economic - urban development of 03 regions of Tien Giang Province, the implementation work has been carried out synchronously, mobilizing the participation of the entire political system, experts, scientists and people, creating a breakthrough in socio-economic and urban development. By the end of 2024, the economy will grow by 7.02% (target 7.0 - 7.5%), GRDP per capita will reach 76.4 million VND (Resolution 75.8 - 76.2 million VND). Total export turnover will reach 6 billion USD (120% of the plan), total social development investment capital will reach 51.1 trillion VND (101.4% of the plan), budget revenue will be 11,785 billion VND (133.9% of the plan), budget expenditure will be 21,989.6 billion VND (152.1% of the plan). The number of newly established enterprises is 927 (104.2% of the plan). However, regional linkages in agricultural production and consumption are still limited, large-scale production is slow to deploy, infrastructure is not synchronous, farmers spontaneously change crops and livestock, causing imbalances in supply and demand. Connections between sectors, industries and localities are not tight, and the driving force areas are not clearly identified. Coordination and support from specialized agencies are still limited. The study proposes solutions to continue researching and flexibly applying the motto: "Harmoniously combining inheritance, stability with innovation and development; between universality and specificity; between the general and the particular" in which, Party committees, authorities, departments, branches, the Fatherland Front and organizations implement a number of tasks and solutions for economic and urban development in 03 regions of Tien Giang Province to contribute to political stability, promote economic growth, develop culture - society, maintain national defense and security of localities and bases in a sustainable direction.
