Abstract

The victory of Canh Dong Chum - Xieng Khoang Defensive Campaign in 1972 by the Vietnam - Laos coalition completely defeated the enemy’s large-scale offensive, smashed the enemy’s plot to capture Canh Dong Chum strategic springboard, successfully protected the liberated area; coordinated promptly, closely and effectively with the Southern battlefields of Vietnam in the 1972 strategic offensive, contributing to the defeat of the “Vietnamization of the war” strategy and bankrupting the Nixon doctrine.
