Abstract

The Northern Delta is a strategic area with major economic, political, and socio-cultural centers, along with a well-developed transportation network encompassing road, rail, maritime, and air routes. In the event of war, it would become one of the major theaters of operations, featuring engagements of varying scale and tactical forms. During defensive operations in the Northern Delta, an infantry division must closely coordinate with local armed forces; this is a prerequisite for successfully accomplishing its mission.
