Abstract

Armored forces attached to an infantry division for offensive operations on the move in midland terrain increase combat power, enabling the division to rapidly accomplish its assigned mission. However, in the course of the attack on the move, armored forces exhibit many distinctive signatures that are easily exposed. Against an enemy with superiority in high-tech weapons, the organization and conduct of counter–high-tech-weapon measures for armored forces in such operations remain issues that require further study.
