partriot is one of the most outstanding poems written by Tran Vang Sao. In this poem, the lyric subject was written as a diverse inner world. This subject was defined by three important relationships which were the one with society, the one with his mother and the one with his lover. The paper will examine these relationships in the poem to clarify the characteristics of the lyric subject.
