SOME TRENDS IN MOBILIZING FOLKLORE IN THE CULTURAL INDUSTRIES IN VIETNAM IN RECENT YEARS
Abstract
Folklore
is
both
a
precious
cultural
heritage
of
the
nation
and
a
rich
resource
for
the
development
of
products
and
services
in
the
cultural
industries.
In
the
context
of
Vietnam
promoting
the
development
of
cultural
industries,
myths,
legends,
fairy
tales,
performing
arts,
customs,
practices,
folk
beliefs,
etc.
have
become
important
materials
for
products
of
cultural
industries
such
as
cinema,
television,
performing
arts,
fashion,
handicrafts,
etc.
In
this
article,
we
review
some
trends
in
mobilizing
folklore
in
the
cultural
industries
in
Vietnam
in
recent
years
and
assess
the
achievements
as
well
as
the
challenges
in
this
field,
in
order
to
have
orientations
and
further
promote
the
mobilization
of
folklore
in
the
Vietnamese
cultural
industries
in
the
coming
time.
