THE ROLE OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, AND INNOVATION IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF VIETNAM'S CULTURAL AND CREATIVE INDUSTRIES
Abstract
In the context of globalization and the knowledge‑based economy, the development of cultural and creative industries has become a strategic orientation to enhance national soft power and unlock the economic potential of culture. This article analyzes the pivotal role of science, technology, and innovation (STI) in driving the growth of cultural industries through the creation of new production and distribution models and the expansion of creative spaces. Drawing from both theoretical and practical perspectives, the study examines the contributions of STI to the transformation of cultural and creative industries. The main findings highlight the urgent need to improve policy frameworks, accelerate digital transformation, develop high‑quality human resources, and build an innovation‑driven ecosystem. These solutions are proposed to position cultural industries as a spearhead sector, making a practical contribution to the country's sustainable development in the coming period.
