INTEGRATING ICT IN EXHIBITION SPACES꞉ BENEFITS, CHALLENGES, AND PRACTICAL APPLICATION STRATEGIES

Abstract

This article examines the dual impacts of integrating Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into
exhibition design. Key benefits include enhanced interactivity, optimized visitor experience, educational
support, and artifact preservation. At the same time, challenges arise in terms of investment costs, technical
operation, authenticity preservation, and accessibility across diverse user groups. Drawing on a literature
review and case studies from both Vietnam and abroad, the study provides an objective assessment of ICT
applications in exhibition spaces. It concludes by proposing practical strategies tailored to different exhibition
types, aiming to balance technological innovation with cultural integrity and meaningful user engagement.
