Abstract

The clown character in Cheo art is a distinctive symbol, closely associated with traditional Vietnamese stage
performances. The clown often appears as a figure who brings laughter, humor, and a sense of the common
people, while also serving the function of reflecting social issues through comical and sometimes absurd
situations. The author points out how Cheo art can enrich visual language, bringing both aesthetic value and
deep cultural significance to contemporary graphic works.
