COMMUNITY COHESION IN THE BELIEF AND WORSHIP OF BAO NINH VUONG IN HANOI

Abstract

Located in the southern part of Hanoi, eight villages‑Linh Dam, Phap Van, Tu Ky, Dai Tu, Bang A, Bang B, Tuu
Liet, and Huu Le‑ have long shared the worship of a common deity named Bao Ninh Vuong. For local residents,
the worship of Bao Ninh Vuong is not only a communal religious activity but also a space for social interaction,
emotional connection, and mutual support, thereby strengthening solidarity and affirming collective identity.
This article examines the foundtions and manifestations of community cohesion within the worship of Bao
Ninh Vuong.
