CULTURAL SHOCK AMONG INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AT VIETNAM NATIONAL UNIVERSITY, HANOI ‑ CURRENT SITUATION AND EMERGING ISSUES

Abstract

This research paper aims to analyze the phenomenon of culture shock that international students face during
their time studying or living and staying at Vietnam National University. The paper analyzes the problems
caused by culture shock, the origin and causes of obstacles that prevent foreign students from integrating into
life in Vietnam here. From there, the paper proposes effective measures to overcome these obstacles so that the
international student community at Vietnam National University in Hanoi can adapt to their new life better.
