DEVELOPING TRADITIONAL CRAFT VILLAGE TOURISM IN THANH HOA PROVINCE - IDENTIFYING THE POTENTIAL AND ORIENTATION OF EXPLOITATION

Abstract

Traditional craft villages have been considered an especially intriguing humanistic resource for tourism in Vietnam in general and Thanh Hoa province in particular. Thanh Hoa province has a rich treasure of craft knowledge and craft
village culture, thereby many traditional craft villages here have become attractive destinations for tourists, foreigners and Vietnamese alike, during their journeys to discover the country's culture and civilization. Craft village tourism activities in Thanh Hoa bring many benefits, such as: economic growth, increase income for craft villages, and especially to preserve and promote traditional cultural values of the locality in the present context.
