SOME THOUGHTS ON PRESERVING AND PROMOTING CULTURAL HERITAGES OF VIETNAMESE TRADITIONAL CRAFT VILLAGES TODAY

Abstract

The cultural heritages of traditional craft
villages as an important part of the national
cultural heritage is being strongly influenced by
the globalization process in the world as well as
the process of national industrialization and
modernization.
Besides the opportunities to develop, create and
add new values to adapt to the trend of the
times, the cultural heritage of craft villages also
faces many threats of being faded, deformed
and even lost many traditional cultural values.
This is a practical requirement for the
preservation and promotion of national cultural
heritage in general and the cultural heritage of
traditional craft villages in particular in Vietnam
today.
