HOMELAND AND FAMILY - THE BASIC VALUES OF VIETNAMESE CULTURE

Abstract

Homeland and family are sacred symbols in Vietnamese culture. These are values crystallized, instilled in the thoughts, feelings and lifestyles of Vietnamese people from generation to generation. Vietnamese people are people of the country, of the family. Fatherland and family is the place where people are born and nurtured. They are the basic foundation for human existence and development. The national love and family culture thus become crosscutting values, forming the strength and identity of the national culture.
