THE EXERCISES OF MUSIC THEORY FOR ART EDUCATION STUDENTS
Abstract
Music theory forms a sound basis for the science of music. In particular, the musical elements such as melody, rhythm, harmony, polyphony, etc. that have the effect of helping researchers recognize, evaluate and analyze musical works clearly. In fact, a number of music theories such as concept, definition, construction, etc. have the effect of recognizing and evaluating when analyzing music works. If students want to build up the reading comprehension skills of the music, they shall have to do many exercises. The exercises in Music Theory help students consolidate their knowledge, skills of coordination and practice in order to form the knowledge base that students shall study in the next music subjects. On the other hand, the system of exercises is an invaluable reference tool for teachers to test, evaluate the students' self-study ability and knowledge acquisition. From there, we could clearly see the important role of the exercises in the subject of Music Theory.
