PROFESSOR NICHOLAS TAPP - ADVENTURE WITH H'MONG ETHNIC CULTURE

Abstract

Professor Nicholas Tapp is an English
aristocrat, but he chose the adventurous path
with the H’Mong (Miao) ethnic group. From
England he went to live in distant places such
as China, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore,
Australia ... to pursue anthropological studies
on the H’Mong people.
Shortly after Prof. Nicholas Tapp died in
2015, Prof. Zhang Jianghua, a friend and
colleague of Prof. Nicholas Tapp wrote this
article. In the eyes of many generations of
students, Professor Nicholas Tapp is like a
beacon of passion for research and dedicated
to the profession. The lighthouse in the vast
darkness we look forward to seeing.
